Students will collaborate with the teacher and peers to brainstorm story ideas. Students will learn how to create a thumbnail drawing to sketch their ideas into a comic strip.
Week 3: Students will develop a setting for their comic strip. The teacher will guide students to create a setting that elaborates on their original stories. Students will learn techniques for drawing a detailed background.

Week 5: Students will choose a provided template to draw their final comic strip. The teacher will model how to draw action scenes within a comic and guide students to draw the beginning, middle, and end of their comic strip stories. The teacher will model and guide students to ink and color their comics using techniques used in the comic book industry.
