Learners will complete a STEM challenge based on a modern retelling of Mary Had a Little Lamb. Your fashionistas in the making will love the rhyme and rhythm of Mary Had a Little Glam. After hearing the story, learners will learn how to use the Engineering Design Process as a STEM resource for solving a problem. They will ask, imagine, plan, create, improve and present their designs with the class. This class will include a teacher read aloud, discussion, independent work time and a group share. Lesson content will be delivered through a Power Point presentation. This lesson will be interactive and fun. Learners are encouraged to share ideas and feedback with one another. No experience necessary.
Learning Goals
By the end of this class learners will be able to create a fashion item using household items and explain their process.

Supply List
Students will need any household items on hand for crafting. Recommended items are: construction paper, newspaper, magazines, scissors, tape, glue, crayons, and/or markers Additional household crafting items that might be useful: toilet paper rolls, paper towel rolls, string, glitter, felt, pipe cleaners, feathers, sequins

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
