In this ongoing class, we will read and dance through a new story book each week. At the end of class, leaners will create their own storybook!
Class experience
Make your own book of stories! Each week, we will explore a new book. We will read and dance our way through the story using various themes read in the book. At the end of class, learners will be given a prompt each week to illustrate a page in their very own story book based on the theme of the class! Each week we will add a new page to our book! Your child will learn beginner dance steps in a creative and positive learning environment. Learners will be able to express creativity by illustrating the given prompt weekly in their storybook Dancing to music also teaches the student how to develop rhythm and musicality. Most of all, learn to have fun and enjoy movement!
Blank paper and something to draw and color with.
Please make sure your child is in an area where they can move around freely. Also, having a water bottle nearby during class is encouraged. Students will want to be in comfortable clothes that they can easily move in and hair pulled back. By signing up for this class you should understand that when participating in any exercise or dance program, there is the possibility of physical injury.
