During "Story Time Under The Sea," young learners will enjoy enthusiastic readings of some of my most treasured children's books... in a fun ocean classroom setting! Your little one(s) will love being transported to new places, meeting new characters and learning something new with each & every story under the sea... so let's dive into both Ariel's world and some exciting books together! Students will be gently encouraged to interact with both the teacher & students via engaging questioning during/after each book, to elicit deeper understanding & listening comprehension skills. This fun & imaginative story time class will be structured in the following way: 1. Hello song + greetings & introductions (whomever would like to participate) and an opportunity for show-and-tell! 2. Pre-reading questions: students will make predictions about the story based on the title/cover 3. Super fun teacher read aloud, with comprehension questions embedded throughout each story 4. Post-reading reflection where students will be guided to answer questions about each book 5. Good-bye song

My name is Lynne and it's lovely to “meet” you! I am a Vermont native currently living in the jazzy city of New Orleans with my wonderful British husband, our precious newborn baby, and our sweet Great Dane pup. 😊
Teaching young children is my true calling; I’ve found nothing more rewarding than helping children see their sparkle and embrace their childlike wonder, all while making learning FUN! And so, while I initially studied Music Composition in college (for piano), I ultimately decided to get my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and have been teaching ever since!
In my safe & loving classroom environment, it is my goal to help your little ones dive into their imaginations and improve their self-confidence & social skills, while having a blast learning!!
I have over 15 years' experience teaching children of all ages and backgrounds, all over the world, incl. Australia, Bahamas, England, Italy, Switzerland & Thailand! I previously worked as a Lead Preschool Teacher & Assistant Kindergarten Teacher in Los Angeles, and have taught ESL online, overseas, and at a charter school in New Orleans over the last two years. I also love art & music (I played Annie in the musical once upon a time!) so I'm excited to incorporate the arts into my lessons! 🌈
I am a bubbly, warm & encouraging teacher who believes learning should be FUN and it is my goal to make my students smile during every lesson! Most importantly, I encourage my students to tune into their inner magic to help guide & enhance their learning...✨
