Story Time STEM: The Statue of Liberty (Ages 3-6)
In this One Time class, students will participate in a read-aloud and discussion of books about the Statue of Liberty and participate in a STEM (STEAM) activity. All learners of varying abilities and needs are welcome to join.

Description
Class Experience
- Students will be able to actively listen to a read aloud and participate in a class discussion. - Students will be able to complete a STEM challenge by following the engineering design process.
*This is just a list of suggestions. Students will design their project based on the supplies they have available to them. If they do not have play dough, Legos, recycled materials, or colored paper, they can use crayons or colored pencils and blank paper to create their project or decorate the handout that will be posted in the welcome message. - play dough or Legos - construction paper, tissue paper, scrapbook paper, craft foam Glue or tape Crayons or colored pencils and blank paper - recyclable materials work great such as small boxes and plastic containers from food packaging, toilet paper and paper towel tubes, disposable paper products such as cups, plates, bowls, and silverware, foil, q-tips, cotton balls, straws, and toothpicks.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
