This class is focused on reading and reading comprehension. Students will hear new stories every day, with each one being discussed afterwards to practice important reading skills such as summarizing, identifying characters, and understanding the ideas presented within a story. Students will learn new words and also enjoy discussion with one another about the story. Students are welcome to drop into the class at any time, as each day there will be something new being read and talked about. For example: The class might listen to the story A Very Hungry Caterpillar and discuss the topics of who the main character was, and what happened to him throughout the story.
