In this one-time Preschool story time class, Learners will listen to a read-aloud of the book: “There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed A Cake” by Lucille Colandro followed by the game “Roll and Cover.” Learners need to print a game board from the class page. (Please print 2 copies.) The game board features a cupcake with the numbers one through six. Learners will take turns rolling the dice and calling out the number on the dice. Learners will circle the number each time it appears on the board...
Learners will practice: - listening skills - comprehension skills - turn taking - number recognition (numbers 1-6) - recognize one-to-one correspondence of numbers 1 to 6
