Class Experience

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 1
In this ongoing class we will be reading several of the books in the series Madeline by Ludwig Bemelmans. We will start with the first book, Madeline. Then we will read other classics such as Madeline in London, Madeline to the rescue, Madeline and the gypsies, and Madeline and the bad hat. No need to own the book as I will be reading to the children. In this series we will discover good manners, friendship, different cultures, and fun adventures. Your child can’t even dress up like one of the Madeline characters if they choose. After I read the book to the children, will ask questions about the book to engage children in the reading.

Learning Goals

We will read these in this order.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Greetings!
My name is Ms. Brown. I teach etiquette, writing, editing, soft skills, reading, adulting, business, and leadership.
Like you, I love learning new things and value education for all ages. I believe learning happens everywhere and not just in a school room or university. If you open your eyes, ears, mind and heart, you can learn everywhere!
I have an associates degree in journalism and writing; a bachelor's degree in business management; and a masters degree in international relations and diplomacy. I also have certificates in digital media marketing as well as etiquette, manners, and international protocol.
I am the mom of a college age son who sometimes gets tired of his mom always correcting his grammar and table manners. And I have a very well behaved chocolate lab dog named Emily (after one of my favorite authors, Emily Bronte).
