As a longtime reader of the Little House books, I was thrilled to discover these picture books for very young children! I have personally read and discussed every single one of these books with my kindergartener. She requests them to be re-read again and again. They are outstanding.

I know there are some issues with the original series and racism. These books have no issues whatsoever. They are basically just a single chapter of the original books made into a picture book with full page illustrations. If we should encounter any labels or other sensitive issues, Teacher will omit those words and expressions. As a parent of a multiracial family, this is a topic I am extremely sensitive to! But honestly, I don’t recall one single instance in this picture book series!
