Welcome to Story Time with Miss T! Please note that your child will not be required to read aloud in this class, the teacher will read to them. However, they are welcome to join in or to read as much as they like! In this class, your child will enjoy listening to a fun story! We will chat about the story's characters, events, and illustrations. Your child will be encouraged to participate and talk throughout class. Stories will be displayed in class through engaging slides so your child can enjoy the beautiful illustrations. What is the benefit of participating in Story Time? - Opportunities for interaction with the teacher and other learners about the book - Teacher listening to learner responses and giving encouragement - Builds tension (no skipping ahead in pre-recorded videos!) If your learner enjoys reading with me, I also offer private 1:1 reading tutoring which can include Read Alouds. I also offer EFL/ESL tutoring for those who want to improve their English through a love of literature. I look forward to meeting you soon! - Miss T :) Some examples of books we read: - The Forever Tree by Tereasa Surratt & Donna Lukas - Little Frida by Anthony Browne - Great Day For Up by Dr. Seuss - Tilda Tries Again by Tom Percival - The Worry Box by Suzanne Chiew - Henry's Map by David Elliot - Not A Cat In Sight by Frances Stickley - The Not-So-Brave Penguin by Steve Smallman - Archie The Arty Sloth by Heath McKenzie - The Stray by Molly Ruttan - The Tooth Book by Dr. Seuss - Lost And Found by Oliver Jeffers - Grandma Bird by Benji Davies - Cats Do Not Like Birthdays by Nicki Greenberg - I Promise by LeBron James - Flight Of The Honey Bee by Raymond Huber
