Class Experience

Welcome to Story Time with Miss T!

Please note that your child will not be required to read aloud in this class, the teacher will read to them. However, they are welcome to join in or to read as much as they like!

In this class, your child will enjoy listening to a fun story! We will chat about the story's characters, events, and illustrations. Your child will be encouraged to participate and talk throughout class. Stories will be displayed in class through engaging slides so your child can enjoy the beautiful illustrations.

What is the benefit of participating in Story Time?
- Opportunities for interaction with the teacher and other learners about the book
- Teacher listening to learner responses and giving encouragement
- Builds tension (no skipping ahead in pre-recorded videos!)

If your learner enjoys reading with me, I also offer private 1:1 reading tutoring which can include Read Alouds. I also offer EFL/ESL tutoring for those who want to improve their English through a love of literature.

I look forward to meeting you soon!
- Miss T :)

I love teaching literacy. I have worked alongside literacy experts in my educational leadership roles and am very experienced in extending gifted learners beyond the scope of their current grade level as well as accelerating those who need an extra boost. I thoroughly enjoy broadening horizons even further through reading!

I have several years of classroom experience delivering carefully planned, targeted curriculum to children aged 5 to 13. My other specialties are literature, ESOL, mathematics, visual arts, and social-emotional skills. I also have experience teaching the Montessori Method, reflected in my calm and caring teaching persona.
