Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Students will
*increase their appreciation of read-aloud stories
*learn and use new vocabulary
*discuss story themes and literary devices while engaging with classmates
*use their creativity and critical thinking to complete activities (including art and science activities)
No homework will be required, but students are encouraged to complete any activities in the packet that are not completed in class. Parents are encouraged to locate the books in this course at the library or bookstore (some of them are older, but they are true treasures to me!).
Students should bring the following to class: Custom PDF activity packet for each story; printed out (provided each week by the teacher) Pencil and eraser Crayons, Colored Pencils, and/or Markers Child-safe scissors and glue stick (parent supervision as deemed necessary)
This enrichment class is meant to be relaxing and engaging, and to inspire students to discover and explore more books on their own. While students will be exposed to a variety of academic content, there will be no formal assessment.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
