Class Experience
Aloha mai e ʻoukou (hello to you all!) In this course we will listen to moʻolelo (stories) in ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi (Hawaiian Language.) Our kūpuna (ancestors) utilized i ka wā moʻolelo (stories/story time) as a source to teach. Many of our manaʻo (knowledge) is passed down through the gift of story-telling. We will share an abundant of moʻolelo ranging from i ka ʻŌlelo Hawaiian (ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi) & many other moʻolelo (stories) that have been written within another languages, & later then traslated...
Nā Hua ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi (Hawaiian vocabulary)
Markers, crayons, color pencils, etc… coloring tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
It’s highly encouraged that Nā makua (parents) sit near & kāko’o (support) their keiki’s learning.
