In this 25 minute class we will read the story How to Catch a Snowman by Amanda Wallace & Andy Everton. We will go over key book elements such as title, author, illustrator, plot, setting, and characters to help early learners gain an awareness of basic story aspects which will be useful for their time in school. We will then discuss our favorite parts of the story and why to help learners with their comprehension. Lastly, we will talk about parts of the story we would change and why to deepen critical thinking skills for the learners.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I am a person who loves interacting with young people and my 4 dogs! I teach about leadership and help build skills needed to navigate the bravery and authenticity that comes with leading others. I have concentrations of leadership in several of my degrees including a doctorate of Technology, Leadership, and Innovation. I believe leadership can be taught to anyone at any age and that practicing basic leadership skills, including inclusive leadership skills, will take a person far! Through personal connection, discussion, and applied skills practice, I hope to teach the next generation to lead for tomorrow.
