Class Experience
Ms. Stacy, author/illustrator, for a new upcoming kid's book picture series will read her two books, Stacy Learns to Love Her Wavy Hair, And You Can Too! and What the Frizz?!?! How to Take Care of Your Wavy or Curly Hair Staring The Frizz Girls: Find Your Hair Type to teach young girls (and boys!) how to care, embrace and love your curly or wavy hair. After reading each story, students will be able to raise their hand and share what they liked best about each story, if they've learned...
Students will learn to embrace and love their curly or wavy hair. After book #2 has been read, students will be able to identity what their hair type is based on the hair chart in the book.
As an artist, author, designer, educator and illustrator, Stacy has over 20 years of experience in art and design and another 10 years in educating students from kids to adults. I've also had wavy hair all my life, so I have enough knowledge and experience in how to properly care of curly or wavy hair.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
