In this one-hour class, Ms. Stacy will read her first two unpublished books and introduce new characters, The Frizz Girls, that will teach young girls how to take care of their curly or wavy hair.

Ms. Stacy, author/illustrator, for a new upcoming kid's book picture series will read her two books, Stacy Learns to Love Her Wavy Hair, And You Can Too! and What the Frizz?!?! How to Take Care of Your Wavy or Curly Hair Staring The Frizz Girls: Find Your Hair Type to teach young girls (and boys!) how to care, embrace and love your curly or wavy hair. After reading each story, students will be able to raise their hand and share what they liked best about each story, if they've learned anything new, and provide overall feedback for Ms. Stacy. Students are reminded to sit quietly with their mics on mute during story time reading so others may be able to hear. After reach book has been read, Ms. Stacy will allow students to share their thoughts with her and others in class. After class, Ms. Stacy will upload one coloring and activity page to the classroom for parents to download and print for their kids. The coloring and activity pages will fit onto 8.5 x 11 paper and kids can use any medium they would like.
Learning Goals
Students will learn to embrace and love their curly or wavy hair. After book #2 has been read, students will be able to identity what their hair type is based on the hair chart in the book.
