I LOVE storytelling! I think it is a great way for children to express themselves, feel included in the telling of stories and help a child's self-esteem by contributing to a group.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
This is a storytelling in the round where the children are asked questions and their answers are included in our stories. Occasionally children will come up with weapons when we are packing a backpack, going into a scary place etc. I will include things like knives and guns into our story but they will never lead to violence, gore or other developmentally inappropriate events. Children will also come up with silly names for people or pets, unless completely inappropriate they too will be used otherwise they will be discouraged and be asked to come up with a more appropriate answer.
