US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 1
I love to entertain children so that's just what I try to do during my story time. My class is very informal so your child is welcome to bring a pillow or blanket and relax as they hear the stories. As I read, I ask the children questions, getting them involved and helping them feel like they are helping to read the stories. Along with reading books, I sometimes sing songs and tell jokes or riddles to the kids. I've even been known to do a magic trick or two, now and then. I also have two puppet friends, Hopper and Woolworth, who interact with the learners.

Sources
Depending on time I will read a combination of the following books...
A Fish Out of Water by Helen Palmer
The Kitten Who Thought He Was a Mouse by Miriam Norton
The Wolf's Chcken Stew by Keiko Kasza
Big Dog... Little Dog A Bedtime Story by P.D. Eastman
Teacher expertise and credentials
I have been a teacher's assistant in an all-day kindergarten class for the past 19 years and one of my favorite things to do is to read to the children. I have a background in drama which helps me make the stories I read more entertaining for my audiences than simply reading words on a page.
