Welcome! I'm so glad you're here! My name is Meghan Billings and I am a former public school teacher, specializing in reading and comprehension classes. This is a one-time class. This class is perfect for little artists ages 3-5, no drawing experience necessary. We will be reading 'Let's Go For a Drive' by Mo Willems. We will engage in fun conversations about the characters in the story. After the story, students will be directed to draw the main characters "Elephant" and "Piggie" by following step by step instructions. At the end of the class, students will have a chance to share their drawings with the class if they choose. See you soon!

My Background:
I obtained a Bachelor of Science in 2012 from Barton College in North Carolina. I am a licensed teacher in the areas of Elementary Education K-5, Middle Grades Mathematics 6-9, and Special Education K-12. I also hold a TESOL (Teaching English to speakers of other languages) certificate. I have 7 years of public school teaching experience. Currently, I am a Work-At-Home mom of two kids. I have been teaching online for the past 3 years, so I understand the importance of making students feel welcome and included in this setting.
My Philosophy:
I believe all children are capable of being successful, regardless of their backgrounds. I believe that every child has different strengths and can use their strengths to overcome their weaker areas. I also think that the more fun a child has, the more they will want to learn.

-I have a husband, a daughter, and a son. Both of my children enjoy taking classes on Outschool.
