In this one-time class, we will read-aloud 2 fun stories from the delightful book "Frog and Toad All Year" by Arnold Lobel. Students will participate in fun discussion about various elements of the stories, followed by an art activity.
To start class, I will lead a brief meet and greet for the students, then I'll introduce the first story ("The Surprise") through questions and student responses. After this story, students can begin their Frog and Toad art activity, while I read aloud the second story ("Ice Cream"). (The art activity will be a choice between printed coloring page, tracing the coloring page, or freehand drawing Frog and Toad).Learning Goals
Students will practice the skills of listening, taking turns responding to questions, discussion, interaction with others, story prediction, and sharing their own experiences of friends in their life. They will have an opportunity to share what they think makes someone a good friend as well as how they can be a better friend to others.

A printable PDF will be provided 1-2 days to class. Please print and bring to class. Other materials to bring to class include drawing supplies: unlined paper pencil crayons, pencil colors, or markers

I have been a piano teacher and performer for over 20 years, having taught all ages and levels of students on the piano.
