Description

Class Experience

During this story time adventure, students will enjoy an enthusiastic read aloud by the teacher. 

Students will be encouraged to interact with the teacher via engaging questioning throughout the class. 

Class time will be structured in the following way: 
1) welcome & greetings 
2) pre-reading questions
3) teacher read aloud, with interactive questioning to enhance comprehension
4) post-reading reflection 



This is a great book for exploring the thrill of adventure, especially for...

1) Respecting other students: listening, speaking one at a time
2) To ask and answer questions as they feel prompted [teacher led as needed]
3) Use of illustrations to tell a story

I enjoyed reading this book to my own children for many years. It is one of my favorite Berenstain Bears books! My experience in reading skills and questioning strategies, along with my love to be theatrical while reading, makes me an excellent teacher for this class!

Optional. A stuffed animal is a fun addition if they want to hold one for our "spooky" adventure!

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Learners are assessed during the class with interactive, comprehensive questioning.

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
