Story Telling With Google Slides

🎉CALLING ALL STORYTELLERS!🎉                (THIS CLASS IS TAUGHT VIA LAPTOP ONLY)
In this two week course, students will learn basic (and maybe a little advanced) animation techniques that will give life to their writing.

Students will learn how to:
-choose images 
-save/condense slides by saving as images
-group, align, distribute, and duplicate objects
-add animations and transitions
-link to other slides
And more

⭐️I will teach these techniques via screen share. 
I will teach during the first part of the 1st class. Then, students will follow along with me as we practice the new skills. 
Students will then work more on their stories during the week and get it almost to completion.
The 2nd class will be split between final questions to finish up story and STORY SHARING!

💥THIS IS NOT A WRITING CLASS
🧐Students will need to have a story in mind they'd like to animate. (Or practice the skills and make up the story later.) 
They will need to have a basic understanding of computer functions, such as left and right click, screen minimizing or splitting, and will need access to Google Slides.

Week of June 28- I do, We do (learning skills)
Week of July 5- We do, You do (answering questions about skills and STORY SHARING!)

🎉REMINDER: Though you can design on an ipad, this course will be taught on laptop ONLY.



👉🏼CLASSROOM POLICIES:
-Please try to be on time. In the case of a screen sharing class, it may be difficult to help late students if they need.
-Be sure students have on shirts and bottoms (if it is a dancing/moving class).
-I don’t always mute students, but I will if the background is too noisy. Please be sure your student knows how to unmute when it is time. 

👉🏼PARENTS/CARETAKERS: 
Please be sure to stay off camera as much as possible for the comfort and safety of all learners. 

👉🏼SIBLINGS:
I can accommodate for siblings if the class is age appropriate by opening another slot, upon request. If the sibling is not enrolled in the class, please be sure they are not seen on camera. If more than one sibling is enrolled, they may share 1 device. 

👉🏼REFUNDS:
I do not often offer refunds for missed classes (unless I miss). Outschool uploads our class video after every class and students will be able to view the class later. If you must miss an ongoing class you can choose to unenroll to avoid payment, but the spot may or may not be filled when ready to re-enroll. Otherwise, you can refer to the video.
