These standards-based learning goals aim to cover a range of language arts and broader skills that students can develop and apply throughout the "Creative Writing Playground: Where Ideas Come to Life" class.
I am a dual licensed K-12 teacher with 16+ years of experience working with student of all grade and ability levels, in the area of literacy and language arts. 
Homework Offered
Students will be given a daily writing prompt which we will discuss and work to draft and organize ideas during class as well as begin writing. The only homework they will be given is what is not finished within the class.
1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Assessment is based on participation and work completion. This course is designed to give relevant and timely feedback as students are working, in order to encourage and promote creative writing and improve basic writing skills.
Grades Offered
Students should have access to Google Documents, so they can share their work and receive real time feedback.  
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Loom, Google Classroom, Forms, Docs, Jamboard will all be used to brainstorm and share ideas.  Students are not required to use these resources, however they are helpful to share stories and gain imidiate feedback on progress.  
Students are encouraged to use Google Docs for ease of assistance and feedback, however it is not required if students are able to screen-share whatever program they are typing their document in.
