This creative writing class will review characters, setting and plot as basic story elements. Students will engage in short creativity exercises to practice developing their own characters, settings and plots. We will also play a storytelling game to model writing a good story and then spend time writing independently. I have over 20 years of experience in elementary school classrooms. Reading and writing stories are hobbies of mine outside of school. I love to help budding authors create and share their work!
Students will evaluate their own stories.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
