In this 6-week class, students will listen and respond to animal & nature stories and then make a related craft.
Class Experience
Students will be taught listening and comprehension skills through the reading of books each week. They will also practice fine motor skills as they make crafts related to the books. The books and crafts will be related to animals and nature. We will cover the following topics: spiders, pigs, mice, owls, frogs, toads, and seasons. We will also make crafts that require us to cut, paste, color, paint, and lots of other fun things. Weekly Schedule: Week 1 - Seasons Week 2 - Frogs & Toads Week...
Students will improve their listening and comprehension skills as well as their fine motor skills.
I have taught classes that required crafting on several occasions: public school teacher, homeschool co-op teacher, and Outschool teacher. I remind students of safety measures to take when we are working with scissors, paint, glue, etc. Parents will also need to supervise their children during craft time.
