Description

Class Experience

Students will learn to use the Stop Motion Studio software to bring their toys to life in weekly challenges.
I am a currently certified teacher with an M.Ed from Vanderbilt University. Before teaching, I worked in movies in Los Angeles, Nashville, and New York City. I have created stop motion animation videos in collaboration with American Girl to help promote their doll releases. I studied video editing at the International Center of Photography in NYC, and I have written several featured articles for 'Student Filmmakers' magazine. Movies that I have made in collaboration with my husband and two children have won 7 awards.
Each week, students can brainstorm ideas for their next stop motion movie.
The following are items I would recommend to have to film your stop motion: Tripod Camera-enabled device Stop Motion Studio Pro (the Paid version is $5) Green Screen (Optional) Figures String Rubberbands Steady surface to film on
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Stop Motion Studio is an external resource that will need to be downloaded in advance. There should not be a logon to get into the app, but it will require you to enable microphone and camera access.
