This class was created for students who know how to make stop motion videos but want to explore more techniques for adding sound effects to those videos. It's easy to run into hurdles when it comes to adding sound effects to stop motion videos. Whether it's hard to find the right royalty free sound effects or if you're limited by the options in your app, this problem can be solved with a little creativity. For students to open their creativity to an important aspect of Stop Motion and film (the sound effects) and how they can think outside the box to create new sounds
I started making stop motion movies when I was in middle school. I have been teaching basic stop motion skills on Outschool since Spring 2020 and have had great success passing on my knowledge and experience to students. I love seeing what they can create! I am excited to have a class discussing one specific aspect of creating videos.
Students may want a pen and paper so they can list ideas, but this is totally optional. This will be a discussion based class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
