Class Experience

***THIS IS A FLEX CLASS, THERE ARE NO LIVE MEETINGS***

This course will be an in depth introduction to the stock market and investing. Students need no prior knowledge to take this class. This class will cover the basics that everyone should know about how the stock market works. This will not be a class on "how to pick stocks." 

Please make sure your learner is prepared to listen to the lectures each week, take notes, and ask questions! If they do not, it will be much more difficult for...

By the end of this course, students will have a basic understanding of what stocks are, how people can earn money in the stock market, and different trading strategies.

I have a bachelors degree in finance from The Ohio State University and a specialization in investments.

Weekly assignments will follow this outline:

1- Watch video (20-35 minutes)
2- Research and answer discussion question (~20 minutes)
3- Take Kahoot! quiz (5 - 10 minutes)

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Kahoot

A letter grade will be provided only upon learner or guardian request.

No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.

Students will be required to do internet research as part of their discussion assignments. Please supervise your learners internet research for online safety.
