Class Experience

Students will learn how to create value and dimension through stipple drawing. They will complete several exercises before moving on to their final artwork to build and apply knowledge and skill of stippling.
Between the first and second class, learners will have optional homework to continue practicing and developing skills with stippling. Students are expected and encouraged to bring a drawing of their chosen subject to the third class to allow time to focus on stippling while in class. After the class ends students will work independently to finish their final piece of art using the skills they practiced and learned during class time.
Work sheets will be provided, but need to be printed. Pencil and paper Drawing pens or Ultra Fine Black Sharpie (Micron drawing pens are recommended but not necessary)
Formative assessment will be used through students submitting their work each week for review, feedback, and to inform the direction of the lesson. Feedback on the final piece is optional but will also be formative to guide future work using this technique.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
