* STEAM is an educational approach that incorporates the arts into the more-familiar STEM model, which includes science, technology, engineering and mathematics.  

The lesson will begin with a ten-minute Google Slides presentation with interesting facts about stingrays and their undersea lives.  The presentation will include a brief video so students will be able to see stingray pups eat and swim.  We will also take a look at an illustration that explains stingray anatomy. Next, students will follow a directed drawing lesson on how to draw TWO stingrays from different angles. They will be encouraged to add creative details to their undersea drawing. 

Mrs. Harrison had an amazing experience snorkeling with stingrays in Mexico and loves to share her enthusiasm about this interesting animal. At the end of class, students will have a chance to share their drawings with the other learners.

Parent Review October 31, 2020:  Perfect Mix of Sting Ray Facts and drawing exercise for the kids. This is a great class for a child who has an interest in ocean life. The teacher was very interactive with kids.
