This 4 week still life art class teaches students a variety of art making techniques while closely examining the art of still life masters.
Class experience
Each week students will learn work together to examine a still life painting by well known artists, looking for features unique to that artist. Students will then create a still life of their own based on the observation piece. Week 1 Students will create a still life in the style of Paul Gauguin. Week 2 Students will be introduced to the art of Berthe Morisot and create a floral still life painting. Week 3 Students will explore a Vincent Van Gogh still life and finally in week 4 students...
