Class Experience
Each week students will learn work together to examine a still life painting by well known artists, looking for features unique to that artist. Students will then create a still life of their own based on the observation piece. Week 1 Students will create a still life in the style of Paul Gauguin. Week 2 Students will be introduced to the art of Berthe Morisot and create a floral still life painting. Week 3 Students will explore a Vincent Van Gogh still life and finally in week 4 students...
Work not finished during class is expected to be completed outside of class and shared the following week.
Class 1 Oil pastels 9x12 mixed media paper Class 2 acrylic paint in a variety of colors 9x12 mixed media paper or canvas board water container brushes Class 3 9x12 watercolor or mixed media paper Oil pastels watercolors paint water container brushes Class 4 chalk pastels baby oil 9x12 mixed media paper
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
