Our brains are designed to focus on the bad things that happen, even when there is a lot of good happening, too. This is called the negativity bias. Research has shown that our brains pay more attention to the negative than the positive and we focus on bad thoughts and remember our struggles more than our successes. I am a certified elementary school librarian and elementary school teacher. I have a strong background in biology as one of my undergraduate degrees is in Biology. As a librarian, I enjoy finding books that explain complex things to children in a relatable way.
A file will be provided to print upon enrollment. Students will need crayons, markers or colored pencils to draw with.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
