Step by Step Art Creations: Disney and Studio Ghibli Characters
In this weekly on-going class, students will learn to draw various characters from their favorite Disney/Studio Ghibli shows! Each week will feature different themes. Students will draw multiple characters or one larger drawing per class!

This is a themed, step by step drawing class. Each week will focus on different famous characters from Disney and Studio Ghibli! Each class we will go in and draw first, then each student will be given time to outline their drawings and fill them in with color as well. I break each character down into steps and we go through them all one at a time. I never want my students to feel rushed, so I allow them to draw at their own pace. Once ready I ask each student to give me a thumbs up when they are ready to move on. This method ensures no one falls behind or becomes overwhelmed while learning and creating their artwork! Our first week's theme is The Mandalorian and will feature a full paper sized Baby Yoda and alien planet drawing! Here are the tentative themes and dates left for the current round of classes. This will update once the next round starts! Learning Goals
It’s my hope that after each class my students will gain more confidence in their drawing abilities, as well as, self expression, creative thinking, and color theory. They will also get to walk away from class knowing how to draw characters from their favorite shows and movies.

Supply List
All drawings will be done on paper with Pencil and Eraser first but then can be outlined and colored with which ever coloring supplies your learners prefers and/or has available!

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

In addition to being an avid Studio Ghibli and Disney fan, I have also taken many online, and in-classroom drawing, painting, and art history/theory classes. I have 7 younger siblings, and also have a lot of nanny experience. The kids I care for, my siblings included, have all enjoyed, and benefited from my knowledge of drawing, painting, and art. Having been around children my entire life, and through out all of my previous teaching experience, I have the acquired the patience and positive demeanor necessary to teach young students art, step by step, with a smile.
