This course will walk students through the compartments in a real World War II Gato class submarine! Students will receive information about each compartment, and hear a variety of submarine stories. There will be time for questions and answers throughout the virtual tour.
Learning Goals
Students will gain a better understanding of the sacrifices that submariners made during World War II, as well as a basic knowledge of how a submarine functions.
Other Details
Parental Guidance
There will be a kid-friendly discussion of the emergency appendectomy that was performed aboard the Silversides during her fourth war patrol.
