ParticipationClass Experience
US Grade 2 - 3
This will be an experimental class where students use their creativity and experience how chemistry causes the properties of an item to react when added to another. Students will observe reactions as the properties of the dish soap react with the fat in the milk. Students will make predictions, be amazed, their mindset will shift, and both discussion and thinking will be dynamic. Students will receive feedback and encouragement during the class. Great, age-appropriate project offering numerous learning opportunities. *Slides will be shared during the lesson introducing topics applied in the lesson.
Learning Goals
Great experimental class! A wonderful hands-on lesson where students observe reactions as the properties of various items mix. Students will develop theories, test their predictions, and discuss their findings as well as use an observation sheet to record and draw parts of the experiment.
