We will discuss gravity and the process of capillary action We will have a hands on experiment: demonstrating the combined force of attraction among water molecules and with the molecules of surrounding materials Information will be presented through discussion and slides. Students will have an observation sheet to complete during the class including predictions and an illustration of the experiment. Supply List
Please have 7 clear cups/glasses about the same size, water-about a pitcherful to fill each cup/glass, red, blue, green, and yellow food coloring, a roll of high absorbent paper towels, a spoon, pen or pencil.
