Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 5
We will discuss the three states of matter: solid, liquid, gas as well as what matter, mass and volume are. Additional discussion of melting, freezing, evaporation and condensation.

We will have a hands on experiment: self inflating balloon

Information will be presented through discussion and slides. Students will have an observation sheet to complete during the class including predictions and an illustration of the experiment.

Supply List
Please have 1 large balloon, empty plastic water bottle, white vinegar, 2-3 spoonfuls of baking soda, small funnel, spoon, pen or pencil.
