Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
Students will develop and build upon their knowledge of STEAM Concepts and problem-solving skills.
Learners are expected to test some of their creations as homework and upload videos or pictures to the classroom thread. Homework should take no more than 1 hour per work. Parents or siblings are more than welcomed to help, however please refrain from having parents or siblings in photos/ videos.
Day 1: PDF Secret Agent Package Pencil/ Pen Lemon Small Bowl Water Spoon Paintbrush White Paper Day 2: PDF Secret Agent Package Pencil/ Pen Popsicle Sticks Glue Tape (optional) 100 Pennies Day 3: PDF Secret Agent Package Pencil/ Pen Sandwich Bag ¼ Cup Warm Water ½ Cup Vinegar 1 TBSP Baking Soda Tissue Day 4: PDF Secret Agent Package Pencil/ Pen Raw Egg What you can use for your egg drop, you may use some, or all of the following, if you want to use an item not listed you must talk to HeadQuarters (Miss.Rachael): 10 Paper Clips 6 Rubber Bands 50 CM of Masking tape 1 meter of string (you are allowed to cut the string into smaller pieces) 10 Cotton Balls 25 Popsicle sticks 25 Toothpicks 10 Plastic Drinking Straws 3 5oz paper cups 3 empty toilet roll tubes Day 5: Raw egg Lighter or matches Candle Barbecue Skewer to hold the egg A clear glass filled with cold water
2 hours 55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
We will be completing different science experiments and engineering challenges. Parents are more than welcome to guide and assist their learners from the sidelines. Due to OS Safety Policies, parents must remain off-camera. For our final experiment parental guidance is required due to the materials we will be using (matches/lighter).
