Students will begin by introducing themselves and sharing something special. The teacher will read the story "How to Catch the Easter Bunny." "I've been working long and hard with all my peeps and crew. We've made the eggs, and now I'm here to bring them all to you!" What else do you like at Easter time? What are some of your traditions? Students will learn how to make a tall free-standing tower with 25 jellybeans and 25 toothpicks. It would be a good idea to have these in a plastic baggy (already counted out) before the class begins.
I have been teaching for over 13 years. I have been through STEM training and enjoy incorporating the arts, STEM, and writing with reading.
I have attached a link to a FREE resource where students can write their own story of "How to Catch an Easter Bunny." This is optional, but a great way to incorporate writing with reading.
