Description

Class Experience

Students will develop an understanding of STEM concepts throughout this flex class
Learners will be assigned homework/ learning activities each week on Monday and are expected to be completed and submitted via classroom thread or messaging by the Friday of that week. Homework and activities will be reviewed and feedback will be provided to help support the students learning. Homework/ Learning activities should take approximately 1 hour per week.
A supply list will be added to our Outschool Classroom
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Learners will participate in a short quiz (via google forms) to gauge their understanding of science safety prior to completing the experiment. Homework/ Learning Activities for the weeks will be assigned on Monday and are expected to be submitted by the Friday of that week. Homework will be reviewed over the weekend and feedback provided to the learner the following Monday. Science journals will be submitted by week 5 Friday and reviewed by the teacher. Comments will be added to support the students learning and provide suggestions to build upon their learning
No live meetings, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will be completing an experiment in which parental guidance or assistance may be needed. Some activities may require comparison, so it is highly encouraged that parents or even siblings assist their learner(s) with these activities.
We will be using Google Forms to complete our science safety quiz. Students will receive the link to the quiz via our Outschool classroom.
