6 lessons//6 Weeks
 Week 1
Lesson 1
Assembly and Simple Rotor
Participants should arrive to class with their kit unopened. Together we’ll review the contents of the kit and assemble it. Time permitting, we’ll also complete the wiring for a simple rotor.
 Week 2
Lesson 2
Beginner Circuit Wiring
In this session, we’ll explore basic wiring to produce ringing bells and flying discs.
 Week 3
Lesson 3
LED Wiring
In this session, we’ll add on to the skills learned in week two and incorporate LED lights to our wiring schematic.
 Week 4
Lesson 4
Generating Sound
We’ll begin to explore wiring diagrams for sound by generating an assortment of animal noises.
 Week 5
Lesson 5
Generating Sound - Advanced
In this session, we’ll build on our skills from week four and generate more complex sounds with more intricate wiring diagrams.
 Week 6
Lesson 6
Wire a Radio Receiver
In our final session together, learners will complete our most advanced wiring plan yet to create an AM radio with volume control.
By the end of this course, learners will be able to complete basic wiring diagrams to generate the desired outcome.
Sacha (he/him) is a born tinkerer and has been nicknamed MacGyver by his family. He can fix anything and if it has wheels (whether it be two or four), he’ll race it! He has worked in the automotive industry for over 20 years with brands such as Lexus, Honda, and Volvo. More than one service technician has been shocked when he rolls up his business button-down sleeves and ventures under a car to help troubleshoot issues alongside them. When he’s not working in the automotive world, he’s recreating in the automotive world. Sacha owns a Honda S2000 that he has fully modified to track standards for autocross racing. He’s raced in the national championship five times. Sacha also races hobby grade RC cars which are capable of top speeds in excess of 70MPH!

Assessments Offered
Parents may request evaluation feedback on learner participation and demonstration of understanding. These points will be evaluated through class participation.
Grades Offered
Each class participant will need a Playz Advanced Electrical Circuit Board Engineering Kit for Kids with 328+ STEM Projects on Electricity, Voltage, Currents, Resistance, & Magnetic Science to complete our coursework.

Order here: https://a.co/d/5JdGVH1

The kit requires, but does not come with, 4 AA batteries. Having a spare set of batteries on hand would be a good idea as well!

Learners should also bring a sturdy pair scissors to class. We’ll be assembling the board in our first session and some of the packaging is quite secure.
