STEM Engineering Design Process - Deep Dive (Flex)
Students will embark on an 6 week course into the Engineering Design Process to solve problems and build prototypes! Students will learn the steps of the engineering design process in depth to solve problems just like we do at NASA.

Description
Class Experience
Students will learn the Engineering Design Process, how to define the problem, how to conduct research, how to design a prototype with different methods, how to conduct testing and how to evaluate their test results and work. Students will walk away with a STEM literacy to solve any problem like a real engineer.
Students will build a project and track their work in an engineering journal. The engineering journal will document their steps of the engineering design process with writing, drawings and pictures of their prototype.
Students will need the engineering journal which is a document provided. When students build their prototypes they may want to use cardboard, paper, scissors, glue ect.
Students will be given feedback in their engineering journal that they share with me. Students may request live meetings with me to check in, ask questions and receive feedback.
No live meetings, and maybe some time outside of class.
