Class Experience

In this ongoing camp, little paleontologists will have a dynamite time using their Play-Doh to learn their letters and discover dinosaurs. This is a fun, highly engaging class is taught by an experienced classroom teacher. It is intended to introduce children to the alphabet in a relaxed, upbeat classroom setting. Each week, we'll spotlight a new letter and dinosaur all while strengthening our motor skills. We'll use Play-Doh to practice making the letter, discuss its phonetic sound, and learn some exciting facts about a new dinosaur. Students will learn how to measure using their dinosaur and a unit of measurement, such as Legos or paperclips. We'll also touch on some science by observing a teacher directed dinosaur centered science experiment or math activity. Each class is independent, so children may come as often or as little as they like. My teaching style is relaxed but intentional. I can't wait to learn about dinosaurs with your little paleontologist! Always be yourself, unless you are a dinosaur, then be a dinosaur!

Class format:
1. Welcome new dinosaur experts/friends!
2. Introduce the new dinosaur and share some of its trivia , songs and jokes
3. Use Play-Doh to make the spotlighted letter, discuss its sound, & participate in a STEM activity
4. End class with a silly dinosaur wiggle dance
