*Note: Students must have a Codey Rocky robot to take this class, see the Supply List for details****** In this Level 5 course, students will continue to learn the principles of programming and robotics through the use of Scratch and our Codey Rocky. Codey Rocky uses a visual blocked-based programming language making it easy for students to create complex sequences by just dragging and dropping. At the end of the course, kids will continue to develop fundamental concepts of programming...
Students must have a Codey Rocky robot in order to take this class. Students will also need a tablet or computer to use Scratch along with Codey Rocky.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
3 hours 45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
In this class, we will learn about a programming language called Scratch. This program will allow students to learn the principles of programming through visual blocks. This program was developed by MIT and it is free to download and use for educational purposes. No account creation is required to use this program, although optional, if a scratch account is created, the student can save their code and open it through multiple devices.
