This will be an experimental class where students use their creativity and reasoning skills to put their engineering skills into practice. Students will create a freestanding building and a bridge made out of uncooked spaghetti and marshmallows. The class will begin with basic specifications, goals and objectives. Students through trial and error will allow their potential to unfold. Students scientific reasoning will be amazing, mindset will shift, problems will be solved, and thinking will be dynamic. Students will receive feedback and encouragement during the class.

Supply List
One box regular spaghetti (not thin or angel hair), bag of mini-marshmallows, plain paper and a pencil. Class price adjusted for cost of supplies.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I served the Director of Ancillary Services tasked with planning and executing summer and winter camps at a PK-12 school. I hold a degree in Psychology and an MBA, a 150-hour master teacher certificate for teaching English as a second language courses and have served as a college counselor for almost 5 years advising students and families on the college acceptance process. I have taught middle school, have been an academic administrator in a Pre-K 12 school and was a founding director of a Learning Center.
