We live in an unprecedented time of scientific discovery. Each week scientists, engineering teams, and researchers announce remarkable new findings, that go 'below the radar' for most of us. In this ongoing class we'll explore some the most interesting scientific advancements to be announced over the past week. Students will be introduced to the foundational concepts that have shaped these discoveries. We'll explore what these discoveries mean for us as a society, and how they will impact...
Students will learn about recent scientific developments announced over the course of the past 7-14 days. Students will discuss and theorize while learning background knowledge on the topic.
I have a Bachelors degree in Environmental Science & Policy from Florida State University. I have studied atmospheric science, geology, and soil sciences extensively.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Topics will draw on published peer reviewed scientific literature and abstracts. We will utilize reputable findings from known and well regarded scientific institutions and publications.
