Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 4
Student will experiment with engineering as we build slopes, turns, heights, and test gravity. Students problem-solve figuring out what will work, and what doesn't. Following directions is always a helpful skill to practice and with patience and perseverance students can be creative and construct two awesome marble runs. Students will learn through discussion, slides presented by Mrs. Kris and the sharing of ideas with their peers. Learning to shift their thinking is a wonderful skill for children. Students can modify the track or add a fidget spinner to enhance their experience and try different approaches to the same goal. These activities allow students to practice hand-eye coordination, spatial reasoning, and challenge their imagination.
Learning Goals

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi, great to meet you, we're going to have a fabulous time. My family lives in the southeastern part of the United States. My years of teaching experience has helped me develop a philosophy which best helps students be active learners in a comfortable and encouraging environment. This approach effectively helps students gain confidence, knowledge, and put into practice the many skills introduced in the lessons. I like students taking an active role and asking questions. The small class size allows me to tailor the lesson for each student's way of learning while incorporating other learning techniques to stretch their abilities. Thank you for allowing me to join your child on their educations journey. See you soon and stay well.
