In this class, we will continue to learn the relationship between circuit devices through the use of Snap Circuits. We will create fun projects that will spark student's creativity. For this class, it is required to have the Blue Snap Circuits book (Projects 306-511) as well as all the components related to the book: List of topics discussed in class: - Relays - Diodes (non-Light Emitting) - Recording Integrated Circuits - SCRs - Capacitors - Transistors - Variable resistors - Amplifiers CLASS SCHEDULE: Session 1: Students will learn the principles of Relays Components used: - Relays - Resistors - Variable Resistors - Photoresistors Session 2: Students will continue to learn about Relays Components used: - Relays - Analog Meters - Resistors - Variable Resistors - Photoresistors - Integrated Circuits - Transistors Session 3: Students will learn the principles of Diodes and examples of current limitations. We will combine Diodes with Relays. Components used: - Diodes - Relays - Variable Resistors - Integrated Circuits - LEDs Session 4: Students will learn about the Recording Integrated Circuit. Components used: - Recording Integrated Circuit - Resistors - Variable Resistors - Integrated Circuits - LEDs Session 5: Students will learn the principles of SCRs Components used: - SCRs - Transistors - Capacitors - Combination of components
