In this one-time class, I will read the story How to Catch the Tooth Fairy to set up a STEM challenge that requires the learner to design a trap to try and catch the tooth fairy the next time they lose a tooth. STEM is an acronym for science, technology, engineering and math. This particular challenge focuses mainly on Engineering but the other areas my be needed to complete the challenge. Please feel free to include other trap building materials. - Large blocks of any kind - Boxes, bags -Toilet paper and/or paper towel rolls - Tissue paper and/or regular paper - Toothpicks and/or wooden skewers - Marshmallows and/or gumdrops or something to hold sticks together together - Tape or something similar - Something to lure the tooth fairy- Use your imagination. - Anything else you can think will help you catch the tooth fairy
