Description

Class Experience

Understand computer simulations of a brain, especially the low level neurons and synapses.
I have been working in the AI space since the last 1990s and watched the technology grow and mature. I have built several different projects utilizing this technology throughout that time. Now, at retirement from the high tech space, my desire tis to bring a true understanding to the next generation of how we got where we are.
Each week the learner will have projects to work on in their own time on their own computer.
You will need the following to do this class: 1. A suitable computer to run java applications (not a chromebook or tablet) 2. Java runtime engine installed 3. Download and install the software "Simbrain" (runs on Windows, MAC, or Linux) https://simbrain.net/
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
