Need some ideas to spice up your writing? During this multiday class, students will learn all about sentence elements, and adjectives in order to write stellar sentences. 1. Class will begin with a lesson and a subsequent review of the elements of a sentence. 2. The students will learn about the focus part of speech (see below) through direct instruction and a multitude of hands-on practice including identifying parts of speech and creating them. 3. Then students will dive deeper into their understanding by looking at examples, and correcting inadequate sentences to make them stellar. Students will be able to use the annotate feature in Zoom. 4. At the end of class, the students will be given a prompt to write their own stellar sentences. 5. As time allows, the class will end with a game such as making a silly story using a Madlibs style game. Class 1: What is an adjective? Class 2: Types of Adjectives Class 3: Using Multiple Adjectives Class 4: Creating a Sentence Patterning Chart
